If you love books, you’ll love this: the most beautiful libraries in the world

31 August, 2009

Have you ever dreamt of owning your own private library? Mine would be very old fashioned, wood lined shelves stretching from wall to wall filled with my favourite books. A comfy leather sofa in which I can sink in and spend a whole day just reading. A small side table with spicy snacks and a jug of lime juice. And of course precious signed first edition copies… Or I could settle for one of Ludwig II’s small alcoves in Neuschwanstein Castle. Even the library at the Royal Astronomical Society with its spiral staircase and faded academic glamour. I can only dream. Instead, I go and look at this site which has the most beautiful libraries. Divine.

I went to the website the other day. The pictures are absolutely gorgeous.

Now, instead of having this dream the travel the world, I might have deviated slightly, and am now dreaming of visiting all the beautiful libraries showcased on that website, and then some!
