Big Brother is watching me and you and you (but only if you blog and live in the States)

20 October, 2009

Unbelievable.

I fully disclose that I have paid good, hard earned money for all the books I review here except those from the library which are free (technically I’ve paid for them as I pay my taxes and besides, libraries don’t expect you to review books).

Methinks things are going a little too far. Are we not allowed opinions? Besides, not all reviews are positive. What if your review is negative?

Oh my! That’s a bit much, isn’t it? I mean, it’s good practice to reveal that you’ve gotten a book from marketing people and stuff like that. It’s only ethical. But to go as far as punishing ($11,000 at that!!), that’s over the top. Quite disturbing.

I know. Almost all the book blogs I read tend to state and thank the people who have sent them review copies and take the notion of integrity in blogging and reviewing very seriously.
