Learning to Fly by Shehani Gomes The Prince by Manu Gunasena

Learning to Fly by Shehani Gomes and The Prince by Manu Gunasena have been longlisted for the 2010 International Impac Dublin Literary Award. The prize money of 100,000 euros is one of the largest in the publishing world today. I haven’t read Shehani Gomes’ Learning to Fly nor Manu Gunasena’s The Prince yet but am planning to acquire them both on my next holiday there. You can find a post about Shehani Gomes here.

Let me know when you get the book. Would like to autograph it for you. It’s very encouraging to see Sri Lankans living abroad taking a keen interest in English literature coming out of here.

  2. Mystica Says:

Thanks for the referral to the publishing house.
