Slightly Peckish Tuesday
9 August, 2011
It’s been a horrible few days in London with most of us shocked and saddened by the sudden riots that have sprung up across the city. But let’s not forget that London is an amazingly diverse and tolerant city and that there are more people here who are kind, help their neighbours and who volunteer to clean up after the riots. So check out what I eat when I go to Notting Hill at Umamimart: Slightly Peckish. It’s the London we all know and love.
In bookish news, I am sad to learn that Agota Kristof has passed away. Her seminal work The Notebook, The Proof and The Third Eye was a recommendation from one of my best friends for which I will always be greatful.
