Five!

Five

It’s hard to believe but chasing bawa has just turned 5. This blog began as a means to focus my reading and thoughts and it’s turned out to be so much more enjoyable and enriching, far more than I expected. And it’s all down to you. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading, lurking, commenting. This year has already proven to be rather hectic and ultra busy and I haven’t been able to post as much as I’d like, but my aim is to keep this blog fun for you and me so I will continue to post a little haphazardly until I settle back into my usual reading and writing routine. So please bear with me!

And as birthdays usually involve presents, do pop your name in the comments and I will pick one lucky reader who can choose a book they’d like to read from The Book Depository up to the value of £20. I will pick a name next Tuesday, 22nd July. And please let me know what you are currently reading as I’m nosy like that (I’m currently reading Mohawk’s Brood by Amanda Prantera and will be starting The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness).

Please let me know if you don’t want to be included in the draw otherwise your name will go in the hat. And please note that the giveaway is only open to the countries to which The Book Depository offers free delivery (which should be most of you, I think. If not, SORRY!)

Congrats on turning five we start about same time my blog turned five last month

    • haha, Stu, there are a few of us – as you know I turned 5 in May. 2009 was clearly a big year for litbloggers. Anyhow, congrats chasing bawa on making it to 5.

  2. Happy Birthday! Like you, I’ve found blogging much more rewarding than had expected – lots of interesting, lovely people out there reading book blogs. I’m reading Kate Grenville’s Sarah Thornhill, Nicola Mary Kelby’s The Pink Suit and Andy Miller’s The Year of Reading Dangerously, all very good in their own way. I’ll turn down your kind offer as I’m determined to make inroads into the TBR

Congratulations!! That’s quite a significant milestone. Wishing you many more years.

I’m about to start reading “Catching the Westbound” by D.C. Hicks.

Congratulations. Blogging is so much fun and so rewarding, isn’t it?

If you want to know what I’m reading currently, it is Fade into Red by Reshma Barshikar – it’s a book about Italy, art, and wine and based on that I should be in love with it. So far, it’s just like, I am still waiting for the book to work its magic on me.

Congratulations! I am currently reading The Quick. Fantastic book!

ooh, big congrats! i’m very happy for you 🙂 i always enjoy reading your posts (but i very rarely comment… sorry about that). i just finished ‘sinner’ by maggie stiefvater and absolutely loved it; and i’m about to start either ‘landline’ by rainbow rowell or ‘the lowland’ by jhumpa lahiri next.

Happy 5, chasing bawa! Yay! Thank you for keeping this informative and fun blog. I’ve just started reading ‘can’t and won’t’ by Lydia Davis. The subtlety of how she observes and remembers in her ‘the end of the story’ was quite addictive, and that’s why I moved on to her collection of short(some are micro) stories. xx

  9. Bee Says:

Congratulations on turning five! I enjoy reading your reviews and food posts. Keep them coming!

  10. Happy 5th and here’s to many more! Reading your blog over the years has been a joy 🙂

As for what I’m currently reading: back to L.M. Montgomery with Rilla of Ingleside, which I persuaded my IRL book club to read. I just can’t resist those Virago reissues 😀
